Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Justine Gera (she/her) has extensive training in jazz, hip hop, contemporary, tap, ballet, jazz-funk, musical theatre & commercial heels. She has trained and worked throughout Canada, the United States, and London, England. Justine now resides in Los Angeles with an 0-1 Visa & travels back to Canada often for work.

 

Justine began her professional dance work with Patrick Roberge Productions in Vancouver gracing the massive stages of the 2010 Paralympic Opening Ceremony, the Pacific National Exhibition and industrials for Telus, New Balance and Canadian pop artist Victoria Duffield. She continued on as a Triple Threat Dance Convention tour assistant to world class choreographers; Tyce Diorio, Jillian Meyers, Luther Brown, Megan Lawson, Tina Landon, NAPPYTABS, Sean Cheesman, Nick Lanzisera, and Jason Samuel Smith. She had the amazing opportunity to assist all across Canada and in Los Angeles with TTDC.

 

Justine’s notable film and television credits include a recurring chorus performer/character on season 2 of Schmigadoon! (AppleTV+), Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist’ and The Voice (NBC), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (CW), Christmas Chronicles 2 (Netflix), Motherland: Fort Salem (Freeform), and the Disney Channel original movies Freaky Friday and Descendants 2.

 

Additional credits include dancing in music videos for Kylie Minogue, Lenny Kravitz, Charlie Puth, and Fletcher, as well as assistant choreographer to Jillian Meyers for the Lindsey Stirling ‘Artemis’ World Tour & various music videos. Justine has worked as assistant/associate  choreographer to Zachary Venegas working on numerous & ongoing projects such as music videos for Sabrina Claudio, Marshmello x Tokischa, and BIA, a global commercial campaign for ’The Sims’ featuring latin superstar Anitta, World of Dance’s Unity LA, TMILLY TV, CLI Studios, Dancerpalooza, CARNIVAL, as well as movement coaching various recording artists in LA. Justine has worked extensively with latin-pop group “Sweet Taboo,” in preparation for their television debut on NBC’s American Song Contest.

 

Justine works as an associate choreographer at Royal Caribbean International and is also involved in casting. She travels all around the world auditioning talent. She has worked extensively in Miami on the production team for Odyssey, Spectrum, Allure, Navigator, and Wonder of the Seas.

 

Justine continues to teach classes & workshops in Los Angeles & Canada. She is a faculty member of Vancouver’s #1 drop in studio, Harbour Dance Centre as well as LA’s notable dance studio, TMILLY.
